DVD release of second part of Yukihiko Tsutsumi's three film adaptation of end-of-the-world manga "20th Century Boy" written by Naoki Urasawa. Set in 2015, 15 years after Bloody New Year's Eve. While Kenji and his company are blamed for the evil plan to destroy the world on the New Year's Eve of the year 2000, the leader of a cult "Friend" had been worshiped as savior of the world. On the other hand, Kenji's niece Kanna, who is now a high school student, sneaks into the brainwashing facilities of "Friend" named Tomodachi Land (Frend Land). As Kanna comes close to accuracy of "Friend," new mystery comes up. It is "New Book of Prophecy." The book says that in 2015, a savior goes to church in Shinjuku and stands up for justice, however the savior would be assassinated. Who is savior? What will happen to the world? |
